Terms of Service

The rules for using the Lawfe app and website.

Last updated: October 22, 2026

These Terms of Service (also called our Terms of Use or end-user licence agreement) govern your use of the Lawfe app and website. By creating an account or using Lawfe, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Lawfe.

1. Who we are

Lawfe is developed and published by Charbel Al Chaar and Elias Alzaghrini, based in Lebanon. In these terms, “Lawfe”, “we” and “us” refer to them.

Contact us: support@lawfe.com (or lawfeapp@outlook.com).

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use Lawfe. By using Lawfe, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

3. The service and AI-generated information

Lawfe provides general legal information powered by artificial intelligence, document analysis tools, and access to a directory of independent consultants. Lawfe is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.

  • Not legal advice: information provided by Lawfe, including AI answers and document analysis, is for general informational purposes only. For advice on your specific situation, consult a qualified legal professional.
  • No lawyer–client relationship: using Lawfe does not create a lawyer–client relationship between you and Lawfe or its developers.
  • AI can be wrong: AI answers are generated automatically and may be incomplete, out of date or incorrect. Check anything important before you rely on it. See our Legal Disclaimer.
  • AI providers: with your consent, your questions and attachments are sent to our AI providers, DeepSeek (China) and Google Gemini, to generate answers. Our Privacy Policy explains what is shared and how to withdraw your consent.

4. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Only one account is allowed per device, and you may not create accounts to get around plan limits or a suspension.

5. Plans and AI question limits

  • Free: 3 AI questions per 30-day period.
  • Pro: 100 AI questions per 30 days, plus document analysis (PDF and image).
  • Max: 200 AI questions per 30 days, plus document analysis (PDF and image).

Pro and Max use the same AI model and the same document analysis; Max is Pro with double the questions. Question counts reset every 30 days, and unused questions do not carry over. Reasonable fair-use technical limits may apply to protect the service. Current prices are shown in the app before you buy.

6. Auto-renewing subscriptions

Pro, Max, Consultant Pro and Consultant Value are auto-renewing subscriptions sold as in-app purchases through the Apple App Store and Google Play, with monthly, 3-month and annual billing periods.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account when you confirm the purchase.
  • Your subscription renews automatically at the same price and for the same period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. After you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
  • Deleting the app or your Lawfe account does not cancel your subscription.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own refund policies.
  • If the price of your subscription changes, you will be notified in advance as required by Apple’s or Google’s rules, and you can cancel before the new price applies.

Manage or cancel: App Store subscriptions · Google Play subscriptions

7. User content and conduct

You are responsible for the content you submit, including questions, documents, messages, files, photos, voice notes, ratings and profile information. You keep ownership of your content. You give us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process and transmit it only as needed to run the service, including sending it to our AI providers with your consent and showing it to the consultants you contact.

Lawfe has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You must not use Lawfe to post, send or upload content, or to behave in a way, that is:

  • unlawful, or that encourages illegal activity;
  • harassing, bullying, abusive or hateful, including attacks on people based on race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability or similar characteristics;
  • sexual or sexually explicit;
  • threatening or violent, or that promotes self-harm;
  • spam, fraud, scams or other deceptive practices;
  • impersonating a lawyer, a consultant or anyone else, or misrepresenting your qualifications;
  • infringing other people’s intellectual property or other rights;
  • sharing other people’s private or personal data without their permission;
  • malicious code, or an attempt to hack, overload, scrape or disrupt the service.

Reporting and blocking

You can report objectionable content or behaviour with the Report button on consultant profiles, chats, consultation requests and AI answers, and you can block a user so they can no longer contact you. You can also report content by email to support@lawfe.com (or lawfeapp@outlook.com).

We review reports within 24 hours. When content breaks these terms, we remove it and suspend or permanently ban the account responsible. To do this, we may review the reported content and the conversation it came from, as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Consultants and the consultant directory

  • Consultants listed in Lawfe are independent third parties. They are not employees, agents or partners of Lawfe, and Lawfe does not provide or supervise their services.
  • Before listing a consultant, we review the licence document they submit. This review is not a guarantee of their qualifications, licence status, availability, conduct or the outcome of any matter, and we do not continuously monitor licences.
  • Consultation fees are set by each consultant. They are agreed and paid directly between you and the consultant, outside the app. Lawfe does not process, hold or refund consultation fees and is not a party to any agreement between you and a consultant.
  • Any lawyer–client or other professional relationship exists only between you and the consultant; none is created with Lawfe.
  • You can contact as many consultants as you like, with up to 2 open requests per consultant at a time.
  • Some consultants are listed through our website and haven’t joined the app yet. Unless they have turned these emails off, we tell them by email that a request is waiting, but they can read and answer it only after they join the app. If they haven’t joined within 14 days of your request, it expires.
  • Consultants with a Consultant Value subscription get a “Featured” badge in the directory and featured placement in the consultant suggestions shown with AI answers, clearly labelled as paid placement in the app. Featured placement is paid advertising, not a recommendation or a guarantee of quality.

9. Additional terms for consultants

If you join Lawfe as a consultant, whether you apply in the app or on our website, these additional terms apply:

  • You must be a licensed and accredited legal professional with the relevant authority in your jurisdiction, and keep your licence valid. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information and documents you submit. We may reject any application.
  • Your listing is free once we approve your licence. To reply to clients in chat and accept consultation requests, you need a Lawfe app account and an active Consultant Pro or Consultant Value subscription (see section 6).
  • Once you have a Lawfe app account and an active Consultant Pro or Consultant Value subscription, you must respond to consultation requests within a reasonable time, not exceeding 48 hours.
  • You must provide your services to the professional standards that apply to you; keep client information confidential; disclose any conflict of interest before accepting a consultation; and comply with all laws and professional rules that apply to your practice.
  • Keep your profile accurate and up to date, and update it promptly when anything changes. Do not make misleading claims about your qualifications, experience, fees or results.
  • You are solely responsible for the advice and services you provide, and for agreeing, invoicing and collecting your fees directly with your clients.
  • We may suspend or remove your listing or account if you breach these terms, submit false information, receive repeated complaints, or if your licence expires or is revoked.

10. Website applications and public consultant pages

Applying on our website

You can apply to be listed without an app account, using the form on our For Consultants page.

If you apply this way, section 9 applies to you, and:

  • Everything you send must be accurate, current and about yourself. Apply only for yourself, with an email address that you control.
  • You must confirm your email address with the link we send you within 48 hours. We review only confirmed applications and delete unconfirmed ones automatically.
  • Our licence review is a manual check of the licence details and documents you send. It is not a guarantee of your qualifications, licence status or conduct, and approval does not mean that Lawfe recommends you or your services.
  • We may reject any application, and we may suspend or remove a listing at any time, for example if we can’t verify your licence, if your details are inaccurate or out of date, or if we receive complaints.
  • While you are listed without an app account, clients can send you consultation requests and we email you when they do. To read and answer them, join the Lawfe app with the same email address. If you haven’t joined within 14 days of a request, it expires.
  • When you join the Lawfe app with the same email address (not an alias such as Apple’s “Hide My Email”) and confirm it, your listing is normally linked to that account automatically; if it isn’t, contact us. From then on, these terms apply to it like any other consultant account. We email you when this happens, so that you can undo a link you didn’t make.
  • You can check, hide or delete a listing that has no app account with a manage link, which you can request on our For Consultants page.

Public pages and cards

  • If your public page is on, you allow Lawfe to show your name, photo and listing details (such as your specializations, experience, city and country, bio, rating, fee and LinkedIn link) on a page at lawfe.com/c/…, together with a “Licence reviewed by Lawfe” seal and, when we have it, the month of our review, and to show your name in link previews on other sites. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use them for this purpose while your page is on.
  • The seal shows only that we reviewed the licence document you sent us before approving your listing. It is not a certification: we don’t continuously monitor licences, and the seal doesn’t change if your licence status changes.
  • You may share your page link, and download and share your card, only unaltered and only while you are listed and your page is on. You must not edit the card, remove or hide the Lawfe watermark or seal, or use the card, the seal or the Lawfe name to suggest that Lawfe employs, endorses or guarantees you.
  • We may change how pages and cards look, and we may hide or withdraw your page or card at any time, for example if your listing is paused or removed. When your page is hidden or your listing ends, you must stop sharing your card and, as far as you can, remove it wherever you have posted it.
  • You can hide your page at any time with a manage link.

11. Intellectual property and licence to use the app

The Lawfe app, website, and content are owned by Lawfe or its licensors and are protected by applicable laws.

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, in line with these terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the app, except as permitted by law.

12. Termination

You can stop using Lawfe and delete your account at any time; see our account deletion page.

We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you breach these terms, if the law requires it, or to protect users or the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, such as the disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law, continue to apply.

13. Disclaimer of warranties

To the extent permitted by law, Lawfe is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that AI answers or consultants’ services will meet your needs.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Lawfe is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service or reliance on AI-generated information.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

15. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Lawfe and its developers against claims, losses and costs, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your content, your breach of these terms or your misuse of the service. If you are a consultant, this includes claims arising from the services you provide to clients.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon, and the courts of Lebanon have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. This does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer-protection laws of the country where you live, or of any right you have under those laws to bring a claim in your local courts.

Before starting any proceedings, please contact us so that we can try to resolve the issue informally.

17. App Store and Google Play terms

If you downloaded Lawfe from the Apple App Store:

  • Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app.
  • These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Lawfe or its content.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for Lawfe.
  • If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app.
  • Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the app, including product-liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, consumer-protection or privacy claims, or claims that the app infringes a third party’s intellectual property rights.
  • You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and once you accept them, Apple has the right to enforce them against you.

If you downloaded Lawfe from Google Play, your use of Google Play is also governed by the Google Play Terms of Service. These terms are between you and us, not Google, and Google is not responsible for Lawfe or its content.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the new version here with an updated date and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continued use after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
