This disclaimer explains the limits of the service, how the AI works, how your documents are handled, the jurisdictions we cover, and what to do if something is wrong.
Not legal advice
Information from Lawfe, including AI responses and document analysis, is for general informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified lawyer who knows the facts of your situation. Do not act, or refrain from acting, solely on the basis of information provided by Lawfe.
No attorney–client relationship
Using the AI assistant does not create an attorney–client relationship. Such a relationship is formed only when you separately engage a lawyer directly.
How Lawfe's AI works, and its limits
Lawfe's guidance is generated using large language models from leading United States and international (including Chinese) AI providers. These models produce probabilistic output: they can be incomplete, out of date, or simply wrong (sometimes called "hallucinations"), and they do not have full knowledge of your circumstances or of the most recent changes in the law. Lawfe does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any AI-generated response, and you should independently verify anything important with a qualified lawyer.
Documents you upload
When you upload a contract or other document, Lawfe processes it to generate your analysis. How uploaded documents are stored, used, and deleted — and how you can request deletion — is governed by our Privacy Policy. Avoid uploading information you are not authorised to share, and review the Privacy Policy before submitting sensitive material.
Independent lawyers
Lawyers in the Lawfe network are independent professionals. Lawfe verifies credentials at onboarding but does not continuously monitor them and is not responsible for the advice or services they provide.
Jurisdiction and coverage
Lawfe offers general information across multiple countries, organised by jurisdiction so that what you read is more relevant to where you are. Coverage varies by country, laws differ between jurisdictions, and they change over time. Information presented for one country may be irrelevant or incorrect for another. Lawfe is not a substitute for a lawyer qualified in your specific jurisdiction.
If something is wrong (error recourse)
If an AI response or document analysis appears inaccurate, misleading, or harmful, stop relying on it and confirm the matter with a qualified lawyer. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lawfe is not liable for losses arising from reliance on information provided through the service.
